Tri-Fit Class Descriptions
Strength & Conditioning - A class that combines strength training using weights followed by cardio with varied functional movements carried out at high intensity. All exercises can be scaled and adapted to suit the individual.
Classical Pilates - Pilates class for all abilities (beginners welcome). Pilates is a great way to strengthen your core and back muscles and focus on your body alignment. Enjoy some relaxation at the end of the class using visualization techniques.
BASI Pilates - BASI Pilates includes and respects the history and tradition of Pilates as handed down by Joseph Pilates but with a modern flow ensuring a total body workout with an emphasis on core strength, functional movement, body alignment and the mind-body connection.
Aerobics - This energetic, upbeat aerobics class is a great workout designed to suit all fitness levels. We will lead you through an easy to follow routine.
Zumba - Zumba combines high energy and motivating Latin and international music with unique moves and combinations that allow participants to dance away their worries. You’ll forget you’re working out with the simple dance moves. It’s fun and effective, using interval training combining fast and slow rhythms for an effective aerobic workout while at the same time targeting your legs, abs, glutes and arms.
Piloxing - Piloxing is a non-stop cardio workout fusion of Pilates and boxing which will push you past your limits. It's a high-energy interval workout that involves heart-pumping, powerful boxing combinations and sculpting and lengthening Pilates-influenced movements.
Step - In Step classes, a simple platform takes centre stage as you jump up, off and around it, following simple routines set to catchy music. This class will get your heart thumping, blood flowing and muscles working to improve endurance and build strong legs.
Strong by Zumba - This class combines body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio and plyometric training moves synced to original music that has been specifically designed to match every single move. Every squat, every lunge, and every burpee is driven by the music.
Bootcamp - Bootcamp is held outdoors; this challenging, yet fun class includes a fairly intense mix of aerobic, strength training and speed elements within each session.
Weights - Using weights to build strength, endurance and stamina. A barbell based workout with music to help you get lean, toned and fit.
Weights/Cardio - Combining a weights class with cardio and explosive movements, this could be circuits, HIIT or tabata.
Just Stretch - Balance your fitness routine with this 30 minute flexibility and stretching class. This total body stretch class is suitable for all fitness levels.
All participants are required to sign in for each class on the attendance sheet located near the entrance of the Multi Purpose Hall.
