A New Chapter for Stingrays Swim

Hello parents, swimmers, and Stingrays families!

We are happy to introduce the new Stingrays Swim Section Committee:

Lourdes – Chairperson

I’m honoured to take on the role of Chairperson of Stingrays Swimming Club. Having been part of this community for 16 years, and with my children growing up swimming alongside many of yours, it has been a truly meaningful journey. I’m grateful for the confidence, independence, and love for the sport that swimming has given my children. I look forward to working together with our coaches, families, and committee members to continue building a positive and thriving club for all.

Gaayathri – Secretary

Hi, I’m Gaayathri! A full-time mum, KL-based business owner, and one of the newest faces on the Stingrays committee. As a mum of Stingrays swimmers, getting more involved felt like the natural next step. Excited to see what we can build together for our swim community!

Azeelah – Treasurer

Hi, I’m Azeelah, one of the newest members of the Stingrays committee. I strongly believe every child should have the opportunity to learn how to swim — not only as an important life skill, but also as something that builds confidence and benefits them well into adulthood.

As parents and supporters of the swim program ourselves, we are truly grateful for the opportunity to support the swim section and work alongside our dedicated coaches.

We would like to sincerely thank Coach Emma and Coach Hakim for their passion, patience, and commitment to our swimmers. It has been wonderful to see so many children grow not only in swimming skills, but also in confidence and independence in the water.

Looking ahead, we are excited for what’s to come including swim events, swimmer assessments and certificates, social media updates, and more opportunities to strengthen our Stingray community both in and out of the pool.

We are also pleased to share that our coaches will be undergoing several training opportunities in July as part of their continued professional development and growth.

We are also looking forward to welcoming an additional coach to support the continued growth of the program and accommodate more classes in the future.
